Running the Students' Union for students
Student Officers run the Students' Union and take responsibility for specific areas. They represent LMC students and decide on how the Students' Union budget is spent. There are 20 Student Officers, who make up the Students' Union Executive.

STUDENTS' UNION ELECTIONS 2012
The SU runs its main elections during the summer for all 20 positions. These positions run from 1 July 2012-30 June 2013.

Winter Election Result - officers in post until 30 June 2012
23 students were nominated in the winter elections for 18 positions. 160 students voted in the elections and we can now announce the results. The following students will join Lindsey Hothersall (Skills for Life student & SU Environment Officer) and Harriet North (Music student & SU Events Officer). Well done to everyone for making this a fantastic election.

** There were two student officer (non-portfolio) candidates with 48 votes. As such, a vote took place at Student Council between Ebony Thurston & Christopher Myres - students voted that the 10th student to join the team would be Christopher Myers.
